| Review: so amazing .... trailers do not do any justice to the film. It is so strong prolonged unconventional it creates so many variables, so they can not be taken into consideration. situations they show you linger, and you get the full effect of the well. You really get a sense that it is based on an account. Characters appear and disappear. they do not get the little bows and gives the audience satisfaction. it just is what it is. nothing is edited bits either. This film is a work of genius! and music selection, good lord. have long bouts of silence and parts where it just freaks you out. It was really effective and suggestive. I was surprised to see Hans Zimmerman did the music. it is much more than anything I've heard from him. Not the usual beginning Foghorn or military hum drum. also a lot of real folk songs included in it. I love when movies actually used to include folk songs. time pieces are filled with music. when there were no modern devices, people sing! People can not say that it is unrealistic, either as an actual account. happy McQueen directed the public eye and thus untethered. I will probably watch on repeat, when it comes out. The bad thing is to check other McQueen films. have not seen yet for some reason |
